Ice paint is super easy to make, and kids of all ages are sure to love it! Are you ready for the recipe?
How to Make Ice Paint
Materials
- Washable paint
- An ice-cube tray
- Water
Method
- Begin by filling an ice cube tray roughly 1/3 of the way with paint, rotating colors as desired.
- Fill the ice slots the rest of the way with warm water and carefully stir until combined.
- Pop the ice tray(s) in the freezer for 4-6 hours.
- Then, play can begin!
Ice Paint Play
- Once the paint cubes are frozen they will easily pop out of the ice trays.
- Give kids paper, and they will have a blast creating beautiful, icy works of art.
Ice painting is a great way to cool things off on a hot day!
Both girls loved handling the cold ice, and they loved watching the colors swirl together to make beautiful works of art.
Rosie and Jewel also loved using the ice paint to engage in a bit of body painting, making for another great way to cool off.
We absolutely loved this activity and can't wait to do it again!
