Build a Snowman Kit

December 16, 2013
Rosie and Jewel loved their Build a Frosty so much last year that I wanted to make them another one.
We moved over the Summer, and the old one unfortunately got lost in the shuffle, but this toy is so easy to make it was not a big deal at all to remake it.

Snowman Kids Can Build Again & Again!

I love that this snowman kit allows Rosie and Jewel to make their own snowman from the warmth and comfort of the indoors. On days where I have had enough of outdoor snow play this easy to make toy actually helps me lure them inside.

Build a Frosty Materials
All you need to make a snowman kit is craft foam and scissors.  We bought all the craft foam needed at Walmart for just a few dollars.  You can also get large craft foam sheets online here.  I cut three white circles, several small black circles, an orange carrot nose, a top hat, and branch arms from the craft foam using scissors.

That's it!  Easy peasy, right?  To let the snowman building fun begin give your children a bowl of water with a couple paint brushes.  Have them wet the snowman pieces and stick them to windows or bath walls.

Rosie and Jewel both build several snowmen each day. This is a simple homemade toy that costs less than five dollars to make and fosters creativity, too! Bring it to bath time for another fun way to play. We set up a whole Frosty the Snowman Bath last year, and the girls loved it!
