This recipe is really easy and can be made cold and even FROZEN. Read on to see how we experimented with the temperature of our slime to create unique and new play times.
My kids love the Frozen Disney movie, and they also love slime! Today, I combined the two to make Frozen snow slime! Read on for the easy tutorial.
How to Make Frozen Slime for Kids
Recipe
- 2 cup of blue glitter glue
- 1-2 cups of liquid starch
- Extra glitter (optional)
Note: To make your slime icy-cold place the glue and liquid starch in the refrigerator for a few hours before you mix this recipe.
Method
- Begin by pouring 2 cups of blue glitter glue into a large mixing bowl. We used this glitter glue.
- Slowly begin to add liquid starch and mix, slowly adding more starch and mixing until the desired consistency is reached.
- Once the slime is formed remove it from the bowl and knead it with clean, dry hands.
- After a bit of mixing & kneading you will have super sparkly, Frozen slime!
Refrigerating the ingredients before making the slime made it super cold and icy! Rosie and Jewel loved the added sensory element, and it really helped to capture the Frozen movie theme.
After a bit of free play we added Frozen figurines, and my girls found all sorts of ways to explore!
Freeze Your Slime
After a few days we experimented with our slime and tried freezing it for an hour before play.We placed the slime on a plate in the freezer. An hour later we were amazed!
The slime was frozen on the outside, but the inside was still OOZE! As we handled the slime it melted and mixed in magical ways!
My entire family has had so much fun!
