HOW TO MAKE GHOST SLIME FOR KIDS
- White school glue
- Liquid starch
- Blue neon paint (optional)
- Bowl/spoon
You will also need:
- Googly eyes
- Craft foam
- Play dough tools
- A blacklight (optional)
Note: You can make chilling ghost slime without neon paint if you do not have it on hand and would like to give this Halloween activity a try.
Method
- Begin by combining 2 cups of white school glue with 1 teaspoon of neon blue paint in a large mixing bowl.
- We chilled our glue overnight so that our slime would be ghostly cold. This step is optional.
- Slowly begin to add liquid starch and mix, slowly adding more starch and mixing until the desired consistency is reached.
- Store the starch in the refrigerator overnight to make it cold, if desired.
- Once the slime is formed remove it from the bowl and knead it with clean, dry hands.
- After a bit of mixing and kneading you will be left with frightfully cold, glowing ghost slime!
Give kids googly eyes, craft foam, and other play tools, and they are sure to have a blast!
Extend the Fun
Give kids empty containers so that they can make ghost farts!- Place the ghost slime in a small container and squeeze it down using force.
- The slime will make a "fart" as it is squeezed into the container.
Haha, aren't kids the best? Rosie and Jewel thought this was hilarious and played and played!

Tips & Storage:
- Store your ghost slime in an airtight container between playtimes, and it can be used again and again! We keep ours in the refrigerator so that it stays ghostly cold.
- For the best effect you will want to use a blacklight for this activity. My girls love using these super cool flashlights. We also have a blacklight fixture that we often use.
- The glowing paint that we use in our activities can be purchased on Amazon here.
