This slime is unique in that it is icy-cold, just like real snow! My girls have been dying to play in the snow, and while this wasn't quite as good as the real thing it was close! Read on for the easy tutorial.

Icy-Cold Snow Slime For Kids

Recipe

2 cups of silver glitter glue
1-2 cups of liquid starch

Quick Tip: Make your snow slime COLD by placing the ingredients the refrigerator for an hour before play. My kids thought this was "the coolest thing"!

Method

Begin by pouring 2 cups of silver glitter glue into a large mixing bowl.

Slowly begin to add liquid starch & mix, slowly adding more starch & mixing until the desired consistency is reached.

Once the slime is formed remove it from the bowl and knead it with clean, dry hands.
If the slime is at all sticky add a drop or two of liquid starch and mix it in.
After a bit of mixing and kneading you will be left with the perfect winter slime!

How "cool" is that?

We added extra glitter for even more fun. We also added snowflake sequins.

Extend the Fun

Add snowman parts so that kids can make OOZING snowmen. You could also cut orange and black shapes from craft foam.
Add snowflake cookie cutters so that kids can make melting snowflakes.
Give kids a jar so that they can squeeze the slime into it and make snowman farts!

Frozen Slime Play

Place your slime in the freezer for an hour before play. Then, give it to the kids and watch them marvel as it slowly melts in their hands!

Draw snowman faces on the containers using Sharpies, and then fill the containers with homemade snow slime!

Store your slime in an air-tight container between play times, and it can be used again and again!

Troubleshooting:

Is your slime too sticky?
Add a little more liquid starch and knead.
Is your slime too rubbery?
OOPS! You added too much starch. No biggie. Just add a little more glue to your slime and knead it in!
