HOW TO DECORATE PUMPKINS USING MELTED CRAYONS
Materials
- Pumpkins
- Neon crayons
- A hair-dryer
- A hot-glue gun
- A blacklight (optional)
Method
Then, the real fun can begin!
- Begin by having kids peel the wrappers off of a handful of neon crayons.
- Break the crayons into pieces, and then hot-glue the pieces of crayon along the top surface of a pumpkin. Adults may need to help with this part.
MAKING MELTED CRAYON PUMPKINS
- Have kids use the hair-dryer to melt the crayons down onto the pumpkins.
- Kids can hold the hair-dryer in different ways to create varying patterns & effects.
- Rosie and Jewel had so much fun and wanted to decorate pumpkin after pumpkin! Each one turned out uniquely beautiful, too!
Display your pumpkins in a black-lit window, or place them on your porch with a blacklight blub in place of your regular porch light. Rosie & Jewel also loved making their pumpkins glow using their blacklight flashlights.
