Pine Cone Turkey Crafts

Gobble gobble, Thanksgiving is almost here!
Here are a few fun and creative ways for kids to craft a turkey this year.

We love using pine cones in our craft activities.  We have an abundance of pine trees in our area, but if you don't you can actually purchase pine cones for crafting.

Pine Cone Turkey Craft for Preschool

Materials

• Pine cones
• Feathers
• Google eyes
• Glue
• Craft foam

Method

• Have kids use the supplies to assemble adorable pine cone turkeys.

• We used hot glue, which worked great!  If crafting with younger children you may want to use school glue or handle the glue gun for them.

Leaf Turkey Craft

Materials

• Pine cones
• Leaves
• Craft paper
• Scissors
• Glue
• Google eyes (optional)

Method

• Begin by going on a walk to collect fallen leaves and pine cones.
• Then, have kids use the leaves to make pine cone turkeys.

• We used craft paper to make our faces, but you could just as easily use google eyes and orange paper triangles.
