These stamps are great for all sorts of arts and crafts. We inevitably used ours to make wrapping paper, and I just love how it turned out! Read on to see how you can turn potatoes into stamps at home.
How to Make Potato Stamps for Christmas
Materials- Whole potatoes
- A knife
- Cookie cutters
- Paint
- Paper
Method
- Begin by cutting the desired number of potatoes in half. You will want to cut them in different directions, depending on their shape & size.
- Each potato should produce roughly two stamps.
- Place a cookie cutter directly into the middle of one of the potato halves and push down firmly.
- Then, carefully use a knife to cut the surrounding potato away from the outside of the cookie cutter.
- Remove the cookie cutter, and you will have a fabulous homemade stamp!
- Repeat this process, using different cookie cutters until all of the potato halves have been used.
