Making Salt Dough Hand Print Keepsakes
- Have kids roll the prepared salt dough out flat but not too thin.
- Then, have them place their hand gently into the center of the dough.
- Use a butter knife or similar to trace your child's hand in the dough.
- Then, remove the excess.
- Place your child's clay hands onto a baking sheet.
- Heat the ornaments in the oven at 200 degrees for roughly 20-25 minutes.
- Be sure to watch the ornaments closely, as cooking time will vary slightly by hand size.
- Once ready remove the hand print keepsakes from the oven and allow them to cool.
